Project Highlights

Our client had not planned to build a custom home, but life had other plans. When her previous home was destroyed in a fire, she knew she wanted to stay on the same land. So she embraced our design-build process and together we envisioned a new home with a more modern twist, one she felt would be a truer reflection of her values and personality.

To match her style, we emphasized modern yet comfortable features and finishes, as well as energy efficiency and sustainability. (The house has a HERS Index Score of 1 – zero is the best score, but average new homes have a 100.) The new home also included a safe room. As the house went up, it symbolized something even greater. It was a phoenix rising from the ashes.

This home was honored as a 2018 Department of Energy Housing Innovation Winner.>
